งานแสดงสินค้าที่มีศักยภาพ: Formland

About: Formland is an interior and design trade fair and exhibition which started in 1984 and typically held in the city of Herning in Denmark twice a year, in spring and autumn. The fair spans over a 3-day period and provides a platform to create opportunities for promoting business and networking for buyers and suppliers and other industry professionals as well as highlight current and upcoming trends and product launches.

With 422 exhibitors and just over 11000 visitors, this year’s Formland Autumn was held from 22-24 August 2023. Exhibitors: Product categories include bath, kitchen & tableware, home accessories, furniture, home textiles, hobby and leisure, lighting and seasonal decorations. Lessor sections of the fair included food and drink, fashion & accessories and garden & outdoor. Also represented at the fair were design and business consultant providers, educational institutions and local and foreign government offices.

Brands range from established brands as Hay, Rosendahl, Ib Laursen, Louis Poulsen, Lene Bjerre Design and Eva Solo to emerging or lesser-known brands as Archo (sustainable wall coverings), Birdie (indoor air monitor) and Underflod (handcrafted products made from reused material).
Products: Formland Autumn’s most noticeable products in the interior section focusses on minimalism, functionality and sustainability. Many products that were seen at the event are noticeably produced from recycled or upcycled products and natural materials. Textiles made from natural, recycled materials as seen at AU Maison & EJA International, supplier of home decorations throughout Europe. Furniture or home accessories, where either the material would be recycled or upcycled ending in unique designed products as seen at Trademark Living and Sjælsø Nordic Living, interior design product suppliers. According to the suppliers, the products mainly have roots in India where they are sourced from items as old bicycles, thread spools and deserted buildings. They are then either recycled or upcycled and designed to align with the Nordic taste. Another important added selling factor to the products, according to suppliers, is that by using old items and materials provides a story behind each product.

The event also featured trend talks, workshops, matchmaking, networking and exhibitions mainly focussed on sustainable and eco-design. A main highlight at the event was the “Circular Formland Days”, an exhibition of selected product examples of circularity in the Danish lifestyle industry organised by Formland and the Danish government supported agency, Lifestyle & Design Cluster. The exhibition showcased products as clothing made from recycled material by Hansen Textiles, tabletops produced with sustainability in mind from product design, sourced materials to delivery by HORN and indoor air monitor with built-in CO2 sensor by Birdie. This is the second time the exhibition returns after gaining success and positive feedbacks during this year’s Formland spring edition.
